Story

In the bustling city of Kugane, where towering structures lined the horizon and the smell of salty sea air mingled with the fragrant spices of markets, a young Viera named Chizuki Echos grew up in the shadows of her proud heritage. She was born to a family of nobility. Her parents, stoic and disciplined, and the honor that came with their name. She is the eldest of four siblings, two brothers and the youngest sibling Flora Echos. But Chizuki never quite fit the mold and only was close to her mother and Flora.Chizuki was born with an aether deficiency that caused her to struggle greatly to develop magic and powerful moves and it required alot of practice for her to do anything the normal person can do.While her family honed their skills with politics. A father from Old Sharlayan, and her mother native to Kugane. Chizuki had an affinity with the sword. The blade called to her in a way that no book ever could. She practiced in secret with her mother, learning from old scrolls she’d found in the attic of her home and being taught from her mother the ways of the samurai. She longed for adventure, to carve her own path, to explore the world beyond the rigid expectations of her father and their community. Her yearning for freedom grew each day, as her father pressed her into the mold of his ideals. Chizuki wanted to be something more—something her father didn’t understand. And so, one stormy night, under the veil of darkness, she made her decision. With a heart full of fear and excitement, Chizuki stole away from her family’s home. She bid farewell to Flora before she ran away, she ran passed the alleyways as her heart pounding in her chest until she reached the harbor. There, she found a small, rickety boat—unmanned and seemingly abandoned. With one last glance at the familiar city that had held her for so long, she pushed the boat out to sea and let the waves carry her away. The sea was cruel, and the wind unforgiving. Days turned into weeks as Chizuki drifted aimlessly on the open water. Her supplies dwindled, and her hope began to wane. Her skilled hands gripped the sword she carried, her only companion, and the ocean became both her greatest challenge and her solace. But as the days stretched on, fatigue took its toll. One final storm, violent and tumultuous, sent her boat crashing against the jagged rocks of a distant shore. She awoke to the sound of waves crashing and a strange scent in the air—a far cry from the familiar smell of Kugane. Her body ached, but she was alive. The world around her was unfamiliar, dense with fog and trees. And yet, as she gazed around, her gaze softened with relief. She had survived. The shores of La Noscea were harsh, but they were a new beginning.Days later, Chizuki was discovered by a family of Miqo'te. They were a couple, kind and warm-hearted, with children of their own. They took her in without hesitation, providing her with food, warmth, and care. The mother, a fierce warrior, saw the warrior spirit in Chizuki, though it was different from the one she knew. She noticed the young Viera’s sword and the fire in her eyes—a fire she recognized from her own youth.Over the years, the Miqo'te family taught Chizuki their ways—the art of tracking, the secrets of the wilds, and the grace of their feline agility. But she never forgot her roots. She continued to train with the sword, incorporating the lessons from her new family into her style, blending the fluidity of the Miqo'te with the discipline of the Viera. Her fighting became a dance of precision and power, striking with the elegance of a bow but the might of a sword. As the years passed, Chizuki’s bond with her adoptive family deepened. She became like a sister to the mother's daughters, and a part of their family. Yet, the call of the world never ceased. There was still so much she didn’t know, and every day her desire to explore, to understand her place in the world, grew stronger. One evening, as the sun dipped low over the ocean, Chizuki stood at the edge of a cliff, looking out over the water. Her heart ached with the memory of Kugane—the city of her birth, the family she had left behind. But she knew, deep in her soul, that this was where she was meant to be. And yet, she could feel another adventure stirring within her. Many years passed and a tragedy struck as her family was attacked and killed by bandits and thieves. Chizuki could only hide and
watch as her family got murdered around her, after the murderers left she went to bury all the people she once called family. After Chizuki was finished she was in raged at herself for having a very weak affinity of aether to stop the bandits and save her family so she screamed to the heavens to give her the power to take revenge.
As she screamed and cried for an answer she got a response, not from the light, from the dark, a Voidsent. She merged with the voidsent that answered her call as part of the contract they made to become one entity thus making Chizuki half voidsent. Years later Chizuki wanders Eorzia as a mercenary using the dark power she acquired to kill anyone she is paid to.Update: Chizuki recently reunited with her sister Flora by a chance encounter during a battle in the blood sands and is now currently catching up with her.The power she uses in other classes besides samurai comes from her voidsent.
